Professional Development
I am a marketing, communications, and brand strategy leader with experience spanning some of the most trusted and influential organizations in media, publishing, and nonprofit services—including PBS, BET, Service Coordination, Inc., and academic publisher Rowman & Littlefield. My work sits at the intersection of storytelling, audience engagement, and organizational transformation.
Within a $236M global brand, I was instrumental in expanding and repositioning BET Books beyond its traditional identity. I directed creative development of book packaging, collaborating directly with illustrators and photographers, and served as the publisher’s representative in weekly New York engagements overseeing cover approvals, sales strategy, and publishing partnerships. I also directed integrated marketing and publicity campaigns across print, radio, digital, national events, and made-for-TV adaptations—driving annual revenue growth, outperforming industry benchmarks, and increasing customer satisfaction.
I also specialize in internal communications and culture-building within mission-driven organizations. I directed a unified internal communications strategy for a long-established nonprofit, strengthening alignment, transparency, and belonging across teams. This work contributed to an increase in employee engagement and consecutive Top Workplaces recognition (2023–2026), featured in USA Today, The Washington Post, and The Baltimore Sun.
Across every role, I focus on elevating brand voice, strengthening culture, and translating mission into measurable impact—building engagement both inside organizations and out in the communities they serve.
